Seek Adventure Together

We are not experts. We are a regular family who decided the fear of the unknown was worth it. Inside, we share our real numbers, our mistakes, our family's planning worksheets, and every step we took to get debt-free and hit the road with our two kids.

Seek Adventure Together ebook coverWhy we wrote this

Most resources about full-time family travel assume two things: that you want to live in an RV or camper van, and that you already have a laptop job you can pack up tomorrow.

If you don't fit into either of those boxes, you can quickly feel like this lifestyle wasn't built for your family.

That is where we come in.

We have dreamed about this for close to ten years. Not a spur of the moment escape, but a slow, steady pull toward a life with more room for adventure. We spent years researching, running the numbers, and testing gear on weekend trips to learn how a family like ours could actually make it work.

The truth is, an adventure like this can never be planned perfectly. You can read every budget spreadsheet, every route guide, and every packing list, and life will still surprise you. But you can make the path a whole lot smoother.

So we put everything we have into one place: the planning, the budgeting, the honest money conversations, and building multiple streams of income alongside our day jobs so no single paycheck carried all the pressure.

Now we are putting our entire journey into this book, real numbers, worksheets, mistakes, and all, so you can see the whole path and take whatever fits your family.

The part nobody talks about

The mental exhaustion is real

One of the biggest reasons families never take this leap is the mental exhaustion. We are here to tell you it is real. But it was real when we were working our jobs, running between activities, and keeping up with housework and chores, too.

The exhaustion never really leaves. This kind is just a little heavier, because there are so many unknowns. So we wrote down every fear and unknown we had, the ones you might have too, and shared the answers we found.

We will not have answers for every family's situation, but we can share ours, and you can take what fits yours. Thank you for supporting our family on this journey. You will never understand how much it means to us.

Inside the book

What you will find

  1. 01

    The mental shift

Trading the exhaustion of a routine you did not choose for the exhaustion of the unknown, and how we keep fear from making the decision for us.

  2. 02

    The honest money blueprint

How we approach debt payoff, points and miles, and spending with purpose. The conversations that help us stay on the same team, enjoy life now, and keep working toward our future.

  3. 03

From hands-on careers to laptop income

Our careers could not come on the road with us, so how did we build another way? A look at how we started creating multiple streams of income alongside hands-on jobs, and how that is helping us pursue full-time travel as a family.

  4. 04

    The hidden costs nobody mentions

The costs beyond getting out the door: health coverage and unexpected medical bills, fuel, furnished stays, groceries, and the everyday surprises that still happen away from home. How we are planning room in our budget for the unknown, so one unexpected expense does not have to decide what happens next.

  5. 05

    Enjoying today, planning for tomorrow

How do we travel now without robbing our future? What we are learning about retirement, keeping our family safety nets intact, and saving for our kids, from parents who are figuring it out in real time without a finance background.

  6. 06

    Downsizing 90% of our home

What we sold, what went into storage, the garage sale, and the checklists nobody tells you about until it is too late.

  7. 07

    The no RV road setup

Why we chose our Toyota Sequoia and short-term furnished stays over campground life, and how we built out the back for a family of four.

  8. 08

    Roadschooling and family rhythms

What stays consistent when everything around us changes? How we are planning to keep the routines and learning our kids need, while making more room for exploring, adventure, and the unknown. We love our comfortable life, but we want to discover what is possible beyond it.
